Terms of Service

1. The service

AI Models Router ("we", "us") provides an application programming interface (the "API") that forwards your requests to AI models hosted by third-party upstream inference providers, and a website to manage your account, API keys and credits (together, the "Service"). We do not train or host the models ourselves.

2. Accounts and API keys

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
  • API keys are shown once at creation. You are responsible for all usage made with your keys until you disable or revoke them. Revoke a key immediately if you believe it has been exposed.
  • You may set per-key credit limits and expiry dates. Usage beyond a key's limit is refused.

3. Prepaid credits

  • The Service is paid for with prepaid credits denominated in US dollars. Credits are purchased in amounts between $5.00 and $10,000.00 per transaction. Purchase limits apply: currently your first purchase can be up to $100.00, purchases total at most $500.00 per 24 hours including fees, and you can start up to 5 checkouts per hour. We may change these limits; the current ones are listed on the Pricing page.
  • A platform fee of 5.50% of the credit amount (rounded up to the next cent) is added at checkout and shown before you pay. The fee is not credited to your balance.
  • Requests are charged at the per-token prices published on each model's page at the time of the request. Before a request is processed, its maximum possible cost is held from your available balance; when it completes, the actual cost is charged and the remainder released.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is open. They have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts and do not earn interest.
  • Refund requests for unused credits are reviewed case by case; contact support@aimodelsrouter.ai. Unused credits from a purchase made in the last 30 days are refunded on request; platform fees are not refundable.
  • Promotional credit, such as the sign-up credit for verified accounts, is spent on requests like other credit. Some models, marked on their page, are available only to accounts that have completed a credit purchase. It has no cash value and is never refunded, withdrawn or transferred; when we work out a refund of unused purchased credit, promotional credit counts as spent last. Offers are limited to one per person, and we may remove promotional credit obtained through multiple accounts. We may change or end an offer at any time; credit already granted stays in your balance.
  • Prices may change. Changes apply to requests made after the change is published on the model page.
  • Payments are processed by our payment processor; you enter card details directly with it and we never see your full card number. Prices exclude sales tax, VAT and similar taxes. We do not currently charge tax at checkout; you are responsible for any taxes due in your jurisdiction (for example under the reverse-charge mechanism). A VAT or tax ID you enter at checkout is shown on your receipt.

Auto top-up

Auto top-up is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, you authorize us to save the payment method you pay with (for example a card) and to charge it, without you being present, each time your available balance falls below the trigger amount you choose.

  • Amount: each charge buys the credit amount you choose plus the platform fee described above. Your dashboard shows both before you turn it on.
  • Timing and frequency: charges are unscheduled and happen only when your balance drops below your trigger, at most 10 times in 24 hours and never beyond your daily purchase limit.
  • Failures: if a charge fails we email you, retry after about an hour, and turn auto top-up off after three consecutive failures.
  • Cancelling: you can change the trigger or amount, or turn auto top-up off, at any time on the Credits page of your dashboard. Turning it off stops all future charges immediately; it does not refund charges already made.
  • A receipt is emailed for every charge.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • violate any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or other rights;
  • generate or distribute child sexual abuse material, or content that sexualizes minors;
  • develop malware, attack systems, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system;
  • harass, threaten, defraud or deceive people, including by impersonation;
  • attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit holds, key limits or any security control of the Service;
  • resell or share API keys outside your organization without our written agreement;
  • violate the usage policies of the upstream inference provider or model author serving your request.

We may suspend accounts or disable keys that we reasonably believe violate these rules, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

5. Upstream providers and sub-processors

To serve a request we send its content to the third-party inference provider that hosts the requested model. Providers process content under their own terms, including their own data-retention practices. The categories of service providers we use are listed in the Privacy Policy.

6. Model output

Model output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it. As between you and us, you own your inputs and, to the extent permitted by law and the model's license, the outputs.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Model availability depends on upstream providers; current state is shown on the status page.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. On closure, unused credit balances are handled as described in section 3.
